Knit Night (Finally)

I finally made it to Starbucks for a knit night with the Mansfield Area Fiber Inspired Artisans (MAFIA).  Aisling (an awesome knitter I met via Twitter) has been encouraging me to go for awhile now, but my school work schedule has kept me home. It was fantastic to get out and meet some other knitters and work on my Self-fringing Bias Shawl. Everyone was really great and welcoming. I even had the pleasure to meet a local Young Adult author who’s books I have seen around the library for a time. She was so awesome in person that I had to check out her book, Texas Gothic today.

Overall, it was a fun, relaxing night and I am making some progress on my shawl. I like how it’s open yet plush. I think I’ll add some beads to the fringe when it happens.

The color on this is terrible. It is way too warm looking, but it's night time and ... just go with it. I'll post better pictures when it's done.
